E-vites For Your Events

Today invitations for an event come in many forms. For casual get-togethers, people are personally using free e-vites that are available online to send out invitations to family and friends. In business, however, organizations that want to be viewed as cutting edge are using custom interactive CD or DVD invitations in addition to print invitations. This high-tech invite will enhance the style of the event. This type of e-vites can stand-and stand out-on their own as formal invitation, be used as a hold-the-date teaser or act as supplement to their print invitation. Event managers can include event logistics, such as the date, venue, location, time, RSVP information etc in this e-vite. Managers can use existing templates and include video invite or create a personalized CD-ROM that can include edited video from 90 seconds to 2 minutes in duration and photos, images and logos will be incorporated into it.
For a custom wedding e-vite, couple can share the story of how they met, include the visuals of the engagement event, childhood, relatives and friends, their homes, special memories etc. Custom verse as well as music can be added to their CD-ROM. The facing side of the CD can feature a picture of the couples and their names. This same application can be done for corporate, social and non-profit event invitations.

JEWEL OF MUSCAT TO HIT INDIAN COAST ON 17th MARCH 2010

Executive Events....Truly Eventful!!
Executive Events will be handling the grand reception being organized by Le Meridien Hotel & Convention Center on 17th March 2010 in the honor of The  Jewel of Muscat. The ship's voyage begins in Oman, with stops in India (the stop being the Kerala Coast), Sri Lanka and Malaysia, before ending in Singapore. The journey retraces part of the historic maritime trade route between Arabia and the Far East. The evening will witness a grandeur of various Indian ethnic art in the Oman Hall of Le Meridien .

In 1998, archaeologists discovered what became known as the Belitung wreck off Indonesia a 9th-century ship that was part of the trade, along the maritime silk route. This find spurred the Jewel Of Muscat project, designed to give modern day generations and Oman’s youth the opportunity to train in navigation and sailing techniques as part of their natural heritage, while deepening our understanding of ancient links between Arabia, The Western Indian Ocean Region and the Far East.

The Jewel Of Muscat is now embarking on a historic voyage from Oman to Singapore in the same spirit as Omanis did thousands of years ago. The Omani sailors taking part in the voyage have a chance to represent their country by making this new historic journey. The 18 meter ship has been built without nails. The planks were sewn together with coconut fiber, and had to fit perfectly so as to ensure that the ship is watertight. The wood is protected by a layer of goat fat mixed with lime. The planking on the ship is made from Afzelia africana timber from Ghana. The Jewel of Muscat was built in a specially constructed ship yard at a beach in Qantab, Oman.   During its voyage, the team will use 9th-century navigation techniques.
